The Hillsdale County Sheriff Department has shut down a grow operation. netting 71 plants, and 37 lbs of processed marijuana.
On Saturday, May 7th, the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department received from Crime Stoppers of Michigan about a possible grow operation at a residence in Hillsdale Township.
Sheriff deputies, acting on the tip, went to the residence to investigate. The subject who lived at the residence was Anthony Edward Nunziato, age 27.
Apparently, Nunziato gave written consent for deputies to search his home.
After a search of Nunziato’s home, deputies found 71 marijuana plants, and over 37 lbs of processed marijuana, hash, oil & wax. Deputies also discovered 170 full cans of butane, 100 empty cans of butane and numerous suspected components to manufacture marijuana oil/wax.
According to Sheriff Burchardt, the estimated street value of the marijuana seized is over $200,000.
Nunziato was arrested and put in the Hillsdale County Jail. He faces 3 felony charges, manufacturing marijuana 2nd offense, manufacturing marijuana oil/wax 2nd offense, and possession with intent to deliver 2nd offense, with no bond allowed.
