Michigan State Police stopped a vehicle in Jefferson Township, Hillsdale County, for equipment violations of a defective license plate light and a defective brake light on Monday.

It was discovered that the driver, Shawn David Robey, a 26 year-old, of Peterson Rd, was operating while intoxicated.

Robey had his 2 year-old daughter in the vehicle with him.

He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and child endangerment.

He was arrested and lodged at the Hillsdale County Jail. A $2,000 10% bond was not posted.

It’s worth noting that Shawn Robey was arrested back in October 2014 for killing/torturing animals, domestic assault, felonious assault, child abuse 4th degree, and reckless driving.
