At 7:20 a.m. Monday, Edgerton Police in Williams County received a complaint of a possible abduction. The 11-year-old brother of Hannah Huber called 911 to report that his sister was kidnapped.

The suspect was Randon Goebel, age 20, of Osseo.

Hannah and Randon were engaged last year, but they ended their engagement and Hannah returned home to Edgerton two weeks ago.

According to police, Huber’s family had file a protection order against Goebel the same morning shortly before her abduction.

Williams Couny contacted Hillsdale County Central Dispatch who dispatched Michigan State Police Troopers. After they pinged Goebel’s cell phone, authorities located him at a residence on Perrin Rd at around 9:30 a.m.

Goebel resisted arrest, but was taken into custody and was put in the Hillsdale County Jail. Hannah Huber was found safe at the residence and returned home to Edgerton.

Local charges for resisting and obstructing were requested from the Hillsdale County Prosecutor’s office.

The investigation is pending arraignment on May 10 and extradition to Ohio where he will face charges for kidnapping.

The scene and victim were turned over to the Edgerton Police Department.
