HILLSDALE TOWNSHIP – On Friday, May 20, 2016, a trooper from the Jackson Post was dispatched to a number of larcenies from automobiles in Hillsdale Township.
The trooper is investigating nine larcenies while the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating at least two.
Most of the larcenies occurred in the area of Bunn Road and Hallett Road. The remainder occurred in the area of Bankers Road and Bankers Lake Road.
It is believed that they occurred between 11 p.m. on May 19 and 5 a.m. on May 20.
All of the vehicles involved had been left unlocked.
The suspects stole baseball equipment,cellular telephone chargers, and loose change. The vehicles were generally ransacked.
It is believed that two suspects were working in conjunction to commit these crimes.
The Michigan State Police urges citizens to always lock their car doors and remove their keys,even if the car is parked in their driveway.
