Two motorcyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a collision at the intersection of US-12 and Milnes Road Saturday morning in Moscow Township.

A 2008 Honda Accord turning south onto Milnes Road from US-12, turned out in front of a 2014 Harley Davidson.

The motorcyclists, Dennis Allen Smith, age 47. and his wife Joyce Marie Smith, age 55, of Bronson, were thrown from the motorcycle. They were both wearing their helmets.

The driver of the Honda Accord, Debra Ann Bartolotta, age 59, of Rockwood, MI, was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way.

The motorcyclists were taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for medical treatment. Their injuries were serious but non life threatening.

According to an update posted this morning on Facebook by their son, Joyce is still in the hospital being treated for several broken bones, and Dennis was released from the hospital yesterday after getting staples in his knee.

Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by the Michigan State Police, Reading Emergency Unit and Moscow Township Fire and Rescue.
