Sheriff Steve Rand reports on Sunday September 4, 2016 just after 5am Deputies responded for reports of a traffic crash. Deputies responded to the area of Cross Road and Cochran Road in Hanover Township for reports of a truck that had struck a tree. Deputies found a single vehicle crash with a truck containing two severely injured occupants.
Traffic crash investigators with the Sheriffs Office determined the Ford F-150 truck was west bound on Cochran Road, ran off the north edge of the road in a curve. The truck then overcorrected crossed the centerline and struck a large tree coming to rest on its side.
The occupants, both 21 year old men from the Concord area suffered severe and potentially life threatening injuries. Both men were taken by JCA Paramedics to Henry Ford Allegiance Health.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Investigation team. Initial information suggests speed and alcohol contributed to this crash.
