A man arrested for dealing meth among other charges led a Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy on chase Sunday.

At approximately 6:02 PM on Sunday, October 30th, a Steuben County Deputy attempted to stop a black 2012 Chevy Truck for speeding located at CR 300 S and Old 27 in Steuben County.

The vehicle, driven by Jesse Napier, age 30 of Waterloo Indiana, failed to stop and continued to flee in the vehicle into the town of Waterloo. Napier stopped pursuit at US 6 and Grant Street by complying with Deputies request to stop and was taken into custody without incident.

Napier was transported back to Steuben County and booked into the Steuben County Jail on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Possession of paraphernalia, and Dealing in Meth.

Assisting Steuben County Sheriff’s Office were Steuben County Communications, Dekalb County Communications, Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department, Waterloo Police Department

Any Criminal Charge is merely an accusation. The Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
