Firefighters from the Branch and Jackson counties were busy just after 4:00 a.m. early Saturday morning.

Two structure fire calls came in at about the same time – one in Bethel Township and one in Pulaski Township.

Branch County firefighters were dispatched for a fully involved mobile home at 141 Nettleman Road, Coldwater in Bethel Township. Two adults and their four dogs escaped the fire. The home was completely destroyed by the fire. One Lakeland firefighter injured his arm and was transported to Coldwater’s hospital for treatment. The cause of that fire is unknown at this time.

Jackson County firefighters were dispatched for a fully involved two-story home at 8332 Eckert Rd, Concord in Pulaski Township. Two adults and their dog escaped the fire. The home was completely destroyed by the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
