MEDINA TOWNSHIP – Around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning emergency responders in Lenawee County were dispatched to the area of Medina Rd and Warwick Rd in Medina for a lost subject.
Cameron Mcallister called 911 stating that he was lost in the woods, and couldn’t walk due to hypothermia. He didn’t know where he was or how he got there.
Lenawee County requested assistance from Walrdon Fire Department with their ATV, and ProMedica Air responded with their helicopter.
The area where Mcallister was lost has thick woods, and a winding Bean Creek.
Police when to Mcallister’s house on the 12000 block of Medina Rd, and learned from a neighbor that sometime after 2:00 a.m. Mcallister was running down the road, being chased by several people with flashlights.
ProMedica Air located Mcallister in the woods near Canandaigua Rd.
He was rescued and transported by ProMedica to a hospital in Toledo for treatment.
