HILLSDALE – A 26-year old Hillsdale woman died Sunday at Borgess Hospital of a heroin overdose.
At 1:15 a.m. Saturday, March 4th, emergency personnel were dispatched to an apartment on Oak Street in Hillsdale for a 26-year-old female who was unconscious and not breathing due to a heroin overdose. CPR was in-progress.
Reading Emergency Unit and the Hillsdale City Fire Department responded and took over the CPR efforts and administered Narcan (naloxone). Their efforts did revive the woman.
She was transported by Reading Emergency Unit to Hillsdale Hospital and then later transported by West Michigan Air Care to Borgess Hospital, where she died Sunday.
The 26-year-old woman has been identified as Ashley Rose Walker (Doyle) of Hillsdale.
