JONESVILLE – Two employees at Ritz-Craft Corporation overdosed on heroin on Friday.

Around 6:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man was found at his work station unconscious and not breathing from a heroin overdose.

Reading Emergency Unit, Jonesville Fire Department, and Jonesville Police Department responded. He was revived and then transported to Hillsdale Hospital.

The 25-year-old man is an inmate at the Hillsdale County Jail who had work release privileges and was allowed to leave the jail unsupervised to go to work.

Sheriff Tim Parker tells us that the court has revoked this individual’s work release privileges and he is currently back in jail.

Another overdose occurred at Ritz-Craft Corporation around 11:30 a.m.

A 35-year-old male was found unconscious and not breathing on the floor in the bathroom, with a syringe near him.

Again, Reading Emergency Unit, Jonesville Fire Department, and Jonesville Police Department responded. He was revived and then transported to Hillsdale Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Jonesville City Police tell Hillsdale Watch that the 25-year-old is Victor Emanual Burm and the 35-year-old man is Jeremiah Johnson Travelbee.
