JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP – Firefighters put out a shed fire at Poplar’s Resort in Osseo Sunday night.

Around 9:20 p.m. neighbors could see smoke and hear small explosions coming from behind a trailer at the resort. A small shed had become engulfed with flames. Fast acting neighbors called 911, moved several propane tanks away from the structure, prevented the fire from spreading to the trailer using a garden hose until firefighters arrived.

Pittsford/Jefferson Township firefighters arrived and were quick to extinguish the blaze.

The owners of the shed were not at the resort when the fire broke out, but were there earlier that day. They had gone back to their home in Toledo according to neighbors.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
