HILLSDALE – Jace Landon Lyon, a 9-year-old boy, who ran away from his home was found safe and in good health.

Jace left his home in the 1600 block of E Moore Rd in Hillsdale around 9:25 p.m. on Saturday July 15, 2017.

This is the second time this year that Jace has gone missing. On January 20th, 2017 Jace was found, after being missing for almost 48 hours, in Michelle Bianchi, the Hillsdale County probate judge’s basement on N Hillsdale Rd, a less than a mile from Jace’s house.

Michigan State Police led the investigation into his latest disappearance. Police believed he was in the area of E. Moore Road between Half Moon Lake Road and N. Hillsdale Road.

They were correct.

It is unclear what lead police to Jace’s location, but he was found at a house on the east side of N Hillsdale Rd near Field of Dreams sports complex on Monday around 8:45 p.m.

The homeowners where Jace was found would not share any details at the request of MSP, but did comment that Jace is a very smart kid, and that he had outsmarted them.

No further details have been released at this time.
