JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after he collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Pioneer Rd (M-99) and Hudson Rd (M-34) Saturday evening.
The incident happened at approximately 6:52 p.m. Pittsford-Jefferson Township Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance, and Michigan State Police were dispatched to the intersection of M-99 and M-34 near Davis Economy Service for a P.I. crash.
Kirk Culbert of Pittsford was traveling eastbound on Hudson Rd on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when Nick Bumpus of Hillsdale driving a Dodge Journey turned left onto Hudson Rd from Pioneer Rd when the collision occurred.
Culbert suffered serious injuries but was conscious, alert, and in stable condition. He was transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He was not wearing a helmet.
M-99 and M-34 were closed in all directions for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
