MOSCOW TWP – A driver involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Moscow Rd removed the license plate and fled the scene Sunday.

At 4:19 a.m. on Sunday, December 17th, Michigan State Police was dispatched to a rollover crash on Moscow Road just north of Mosherville Road.

A black Pontiac Grand Am was on it’s roof in the southbound lane. The driver was gone, and so was the vehicle’s license plate.

Nevertheless, police are able identify the owner of a car by looking up the VIN.

The crash remains under investigation.

Michgan State Police was assisted by Artesian Wells Towing.

  1. It amazes me that people are dumb enough to run from that. I could only assume they were drunk, but now the charges are going to be even greater. Plus, why take the plate but not chip the VIN? Makes no sense to me.
