CAMBRIA TWP – A two-vehicle injury crash caused a vehicle to catch fire in Cambria Township on Sunday afternoon.

At 1:43 pm on Sunday, December 17th, Michigan State Police, Hillsdale Sheriff’s Department, Reading Community Fire Department, and Reading Emergency unit were dispatched to a P.I. crash/vehicle fire at the intersection of Reading Road and Cambria Road.

A maroon Chevy Trailblazer, traveling southbound on Cambria Rd, failled to yield at the stop sign and crashed into a silver passenger car, which was traveling eastbound on Reading Rd.

The engine compartment of the Trailblazer caught fire. Thanks to passerby the occupant got out safely. Reading Fire Department arrived and quickly extinguished the fire.

According to Trooper McNew, two adults and two children involved suffered minor injuries, all were transported to Hillsdale Hospital.

Michigan State Police is handling the crash investigation.
