On October 5th, 2017 at approximately 11:30 PM, Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies executed a search warrant for an illegal marijuana growing operation, in the 300 block of W. Adams St, in the Village of Homer.
Deputies were at the residence earlier that day to execute an arrest warrant on one of the occupants of the residence, when they observed marijuana plants being illegally grown in the back yard. This information was used to obtain a search warrant to further investigate the illegal grow operation.
Authorities say deputies located and seized numerous large marijuana plants, processed marijuana, suspected Hash oil and seven firearms.
No one was home during the search. The incident remains under investigation.
